I wana know do i need to be science graduate to learn how to extract silver frm fixer or any arts/commerce student can learn it as well ? Where these course are held ?
Well if you don’t mind getting you silver in a dirty sludge, just toss in some steel wool. If you have a lot of fixer you can buy or rent sliver recovery cartridges from some refiners, when the cartridge is exhausted you exchange it for a refilled one and the refiner refines the sludge and credits you for the value of the silver. There are (or use to be) simple electrolytic recovery units one could buy that would remove relatively pure (relative to the iron replacement sludge) metallic silver from B&W fixer (not so good for bleach/fix) , but they don’t remove as much as the cartridges so for pollution reduction they are not so good, but you do get shinny metal with them.
